About Jada
Jada Russell is an illustrator based in Chicago, IL. Her passion for art began in childhood.

Jada's illustrations depict women of color in a way that is often overlooked in traditional art spaces. By portraying these women simply existing and being cute—rather than being sexualized or defined by their trauma—she celebrates their beauty and humanity in a way that society often denies. Her work aligns with the themes of exploring feminine identity and the women's experience, highlighting the experiences and perspectives of women.

During her studies, Jada participated in an exchange program at Korea National University of Arts, where she continued to explore her passion for art and expand her skills. This life-changing experience exposed her to new styles and techniques and allowed her to collaborate with talented artists from diverse cultural backgrounds. The perspectives she gained from this experience continue to inspire her work.

Jada's artwork is an exciting mix of playful experimentation and a testament to her love for all things cute and adorable. Whether it's stuffed animals, clothes, or even food, Jada captures the essence of cuteness in her designs while infusing them with a youthful, playful energy unique to her. Through her art, Jada aspires to spread joy and happiness and make the world a brighter, more vibrant place.
